My name is Sara and I live in Tucson, AZ with my fabulous hubby Rob and our two cats Lucy and Olive. I am a graphic designer by day and a jewelry designer by night.
Art, in all its limitless glory has always been a huge part of my life. Art is amazing in its own individual ways, it is subjective, stimulating, inspiring, moving, passionate and full of expression.
I love all forms of art and design. The craft of creation with its endless possibilities excite me!
My favorite art form is metal smithing and designing jewelry. It allows me to create with my hands. With wire pliers and hammer in hand, I make hammered earrings and pendants, necklaces and wire wrapped items. Most of my designs are sterling silver, with a little brass and copper thrown in, sprinkled with the occasional gem stone.
I also love food, recipes and creating delicious meals. I myself am not creative in coming up with new recipes but love surfing food blogs and finding new ways to make yummy items. I could spend hours on foodgawker and all of the awesome bloggers attached to those searches.
Spiral Finch is the jewelry design company that I started in 2008. Currently it is my side business as I have a full time job as a graphic designer. Some day, I hope to be able to quit my day job and be a full time jewelry designer. Ah, dreams!
